To provide a foundation in the fields of sciences for Al Ma’aref University’s students, by which we will provide them with a broad background in the fields of sciences at all levels, and well prepare them for careers and graduate work. Our strategical role is providing education in sciences and applications and to engaging students in scientific inquiry and foster life-long learning. This will lead students to explore and innovate concepts an dtheories!
Vision
The Faculty of Sciences seeks to nurture the necessary competencies for our students to land in the appropriate jobs within the Lebanese and regional markets. The Faculty capitalizes on its efforts to offer the appropriate opportunities for an excellent and innovative education on a pool of instructors who are ready to give their utmost best incorporating the latest technologies to support education, the most relevant pedagogies of teaching and just the right spirit to plant in our graduates the seeds of creativity, respect, ethics and service.
The sciences field embodies the Science programs. This field aims at preparing men and women who desire to submerge in the world of basic and applied sciences. Candidates will be acquainted with the basics of the chosen science field to build an understanding of the concepts supported with a very well-prepared faculty who can offer theoretical foundations accompanied by the latest techniques, skills, and experimentation. Graduates will be trained to form part of the community of well-versed science majors to act as agents of change in their immediate and far environments relying on their technical, diagnostic, and human skills.
The realities of the contemporary scientific environment require from science graduates full understanding of the tools, techniques, and knowledge to offer practical solutions to the work problems, and fully conscious of the consequences of offered solutions.
The science programs of study are designed to offer candidates a full exposure to contemporary theory and practice of concerned science concepts which shall enable them to acquire appropriate competencies, act professionally, and behave ethically.
Main Objectives:
1- Students will demonstrate a broad basic knowledge of the applied sciences.
2- Students will demonstrate a thorough understanding and competency in a specific discipline within the fields of sciences.
3- Students will be able to communicate scientific ideas effectively in both oral and written formats.
4- Students will be able to think critically and evaluate, design, conduct and quantitatively assess innovative research in a scientific discipline.
5- Students will have acquired the skills and knowledge needed for employment or advanced graduate or professional study in discipline related areas.
