Mass Communication Production
Mass Communication Production
Media Production Skills and Competencies
The domain of study in mass communication production is designed to include a range of mass communication production courses at more than one study level. In the above table 3, you can see clearly that there is a range of courses that have a primary component of one or a combination of production phases: pre-production, production, and/or post-production.
It should be noted that these courses are at the heart of securing a successful professional placement and later a career after graduation.
Due to the nature of the courses of this theme, you should expect innovative assessment provisions where appropriate, such as ‘blogging’ or podcasts on those theoretical courses that you may have already covered during the academic year. The production courses include a wide range of skills that enhance your employability.
Students are expected to use regularly the Skills set and Competencies and Graduate Attributes and Competencies as guides for checking on the amount and level of developing industry-recognized technical competencies.
