Computer Science Graduates Showcase Their Graduation Projects
Students from the Department of Computer Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences, Al Maaref University, presented their graduation projects in two sessions on Monday and Tuesday, July 1 and 2, 2024, at the university campus (Building C) in Beirut. The event was attended by faculty members, students, parents, and a large audience of interested individuals.
Twenty-one Spring Semester projects, stood out for their innovative ideas that contribute to serving the community and local institutions in advanced ways and across various levels.
At the end of the second day of presentations, the faculty selected the three best projects for the 23-24 academic year (Best Capstone Project Award). The results were as follows:
- First Place: Students Alaa Diab Al-Harakeh and Zahraa Khalaf for their project "Shareity," which encourages local families to open a virtual market for homemade meals and participate in food-sharing initiatives such as Ashura banquets and meal distributions to the needy.
- Second Place: Students Fatima Hammoud and Batoul Meslemani for their project "Share the Ride", which promotes carpooling and daily commuting initiatives to and from the university, facilitating students' access to available transportation opportunities.
- Third Place: Students Haidar Sfeir and Fatima Karaki for their project "Rissalat Theatre Website," a website for the Lebanese Association of Arts "Rissalat."
In conclusion, the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Imad Moukadem, presented certificates of appreciation to the winners, along with a financial reward for the first-place recipients in recognition of their efforts.
