General Procurement Division – Procurement & Warehouses Directorate
Job Overview:
The general Procurement is responsible for procuring general work equipment and materials with the appropriate quality and price according to the approved work mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities:
1- Procuring equipment and work materials and ensuring the continuity of regular work within all facilities
a. Receiving the university's general equipment and purchases needs.
b. Preparing specifications booklet in liaison with the requesting party.
c. Suggesting suppliers of relevant technical services.
d. Distributing specifications booklet to relevant suppliers and soliciting offers according to established mechanisms and systems.
e. Coordinating the signing of contracts with the concerned authorities.
f. Overseeing contract implementation and equipment supply, ensuring compliance with specified specifications according to the books of conditions.
g. Entering equipment information and classification into the designated systems.
2- Evaluating suppliers and continuously updating their list
3- Updating prices and monitoring local and foreign markets.
Minimum Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Academic level: Bachelor's degree or equivalent / Master's degree (Specify type, e.g., Master's in Business Administration or Accounting).
- Field of experience and its duration: Four years of work in the field of specialization for holders of a bachelor's degree or its equivalent / One year or more of work in the field of specialization for holders of a master's degree.
- Languages: Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Technical Skills:
- Use of Microsoft Office programs “Word, Excel, Power Point Outlook”
- Preparing and writing reports
- Communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and companies.
- Ability to analyze offers and make financial and technical comparisons.
- Accuracy in observation and the ability to detect changes in the required equipment.
