Role:
Engineering lab instructors are required to teach and support undergraduate level engineering lab courses and provide students with real-life application cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and manage lab experiments and class projects.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and components relevant to the specific engineering field (e.g., computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering).
- Be able to troubleshoot laboratory equipment, identify root cause, and implement solutions to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Communicate with students through e-learning platforms.
- Follow and adhere to the University safety protocols and regulations.
- Ensure a culture of safety in the laboratory of oneself and students during experiments
- Update lab experiments
- Contribute to the wider students’ experience through personal tutoring, final-year projects and provide support in and outside the lab.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree or equivalent qualifications/experience within your specialist discipline.
- An established lab experience record at a higher education level.
- An attitude and ability to motivate students and deal with different learning and practical challenges.
- An active approach to interdisciplinary lab experiments and projects.
- Excellent English communication skills
- Enthusiasm and openness for self-development.
- Flexibility in undertaking additional duties when required by the faculty.
