Role:
Instructors are required to teach Undergraduate (UG) Level Nursing Courses and provide students with real-life application cases to boost their problem-solving, critical thinking and ethical judgment skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures to undergraduate students according to the faculty’s mission, vision, values and learning strategy and contribute back to them.
- Improve teaching performance regularly using a self-reflection approach and drawing on continuous students’ feedback.
- Initiate and facilitate extracurricular activities such as field trips, class visitations, etc. to enhance students’ experience, engagement and competency and build collaboration Networks within the industry and community.
- Communicate with students through e-learning platforms such as Google G Suite, WileyPlus, Pearson MyLab and Mastering, McGraw-Hill Connect, etc. to contribute to the blended education and /or e-learning practices at the Faculty.
- Contribute to the wider students’ experience through personal tutoring and classroom teaching and provide support in and outside the classroom.
- Participate in interactive Online Teaching assignments once needed and undertake the necessary training offered by the Faculty.
- Participate actively in the Faculty meetings and academic and social activities/events to enhance engagement and make valuable contributions.
Qualifications:
- A PhD / Master’s Degree or equivalent qualifications/experience within your specialist discipline
- An established teaching experience record at Higher Education Level
- An attitude and ability to motivate students and deal with different learning and practical challenges
- An active approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary teaching
- Excellent English communication skills
- Enthusiasm and openness for self-development and embracement of new teaching methods.
- Flexibility in undertaking additional duties when required by the faculty.
