The Faculty of Business Administration has structured the programs for all majors in line with the highest standards of learning objectives that are adopted by a modern university.
All programs of study or majors offered by the Faculty consist of four types of courses where each one of them is credit-based and bounded by learning objectives and outcomes with a set of assessment methods. For each of the majors, there are four titles and coded courses information with their allocated credits.
The first type of courses is University General Education Requirements (GER) and University General Education Electives (GEE) in Liberal Art Requirements; they are a set of compulsory courses of 21 credits for the former and 9 credits for the latter, amounting to 30 credits.
These courses are shared and taken on by all university students regardless of their faculty membership or study. These courses enable you to handle confidently both comprehension and application of Major content linguistically, culturally and mathematically. They are essential preparatory courses for the university academic journey and shall equip you with all the foundational material needed for an assured progress on the degree program.
The expectation is that these majority of courses are covered in the early phases of your degree study.
The second type of courses is the Faculty Core Requirements. They are shared and taken on by all students who are part of the faculty of Business Administration. Their aim is to introduce the essentials of the business functions, operations and environment and their institutions. The courses shall allow all faculty students to have clearer ideas about a range of theories and practices related to the subject areas before they go on their course specialty.
The third type of courses is the Faculty Major Requirements. They are taken on by all students based on their declared major. Their aim is to introduce the more advanced technical know-how specific to each major. The courses will prepare the students to have concise ideas about a range of theories and practices related to the working knowledge suitable to the job market.
The fourth type of courses are the Technical Elective courses. All students across the eight majors may choose to register the courses which complement and provide a sense of integration to their major courses.
