BUS 310 Cross-Cultural Management(3 credits)
This course explores the challenges of managing a culturally diverse work force and the complexities of managing in countries with different religious, traditions, and value systems. This course focuses on the ability of managers to lead, motivate, communicate, and negotiate with individuals with different attitudes towards achievement and work, time and change, and language. The course places a special emphasis on the cultural characteristics and diversity of people in the Middle East, Europe, Latin America, and the U.S. Case studies are extensively used in this course.
Prerequisite: MGT 201
BUS 330 Business Ethics(3 credits)
Students in this course shall be provided with a multidisciplinary approach to business ethics by integrating moral philosophy, applied ethics, and management principles. It combines ethics theory with organizational practices using critical thinking. This course focuses on the main theories of applied ethics as well as the main moral principles, issues and dilemmas of the business world. The students are encouraged with the use of case studies to reflect on the corporate practices of the business world and equip them with knowledge and skill to identify and analyze ethical, environmental, and social issues. In addition, the course aims to provide the students with the knowledge how business ethics functions in an international context, how organizations can manage risks in the global market and how corporate ethical responsibility can be formed and sustained.

BUS 360 International Business (3 credits)
Students are introduced to the theory and applications explaining the economic, political, and legal environment of international business and how firms must adapt their strategies and operations as they internationalize. Emphasis is on the financial, production, and marketing challenges of multinational firms. Case studies shall enable critical thinking in applying the course of the material in real-life business situations.
Prerequisite: MGT201, MKT 201, FIN 310
BUS 380 Seminar in International Business(3 credits)
A variable content classroom course in international business in which students pursue topics or subjects of current interest that are not part of the regular curriculum. A specific course description will be published in the course offering schedule.
Prerequisite(s): Consent of Advisor.
BUS 420 Transportation Systems(3 credits)
Students shall be acquainted with the fundamentals of transportation systems. This course provides an overview of trade, transportation, and logistics activities. Develops an understanding of the physical and information flows in supply chains, and the economic drivers of supply chain choices. Includes methods to analyze and improve logistics and transportation systems, including applications of policy, technology, and infrastructure. Case studies are used in the instruction of this course.
Prerequisite: BUS 360
BUS 440 International Agreements(3 credits)
Students in this course will examine the law governing international transactions including contracts for the sale of goods, transport, payment and insurance. In addition, the course will look at the legal vehicles available to facilitate international transactions including distribution, agency, licensing, franchising and transfer of technology. Dispute resolution methods applicable to international transactions will be examined. Case studies and field visitations are used in the assessment criteria of this course.

BUS 497 Professional Training Practice(3 credits)
Students work throughout a semester during their junior or senior year with a company in an area of business related to the student’s major. This course provides students with on-the-job experience in their major. This experience will enhance and apply those concepts taught in the classroom.
Prerequisite: Junior Standing or Consent of Advisor
BUS 499 Final Project(3 credits)
This course is divided into parts: the first part teaches students the importance of taking the time and effort for a thorough project initiation and plan launch to ensure that the project starts off on the right foot. Students will learn how to conduct project requirements sessions and develop the business case, as well as define the project charter and create the project plan approach. This course has been designed from a practitioner's perspective, so students will come away from each course with information they can immediately apply on the job.
The second part gives the student the ability to plan, design, implement, and test the project. Students are required to document the project design experience from start until finish. Students shall prepare a professional manuscript and to present details in front of a jury.
