A meeting was held between Al Maaref University and Huawei Technologies Lebanon SARL (“Huawei”) at the University’s campus, on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 to embark a collaboration to develop the Huawei Academy for Information and Networking Technology and to provide support and training services. 

This initiative aims to enable students benefit from modern technologies developed by Huawei, and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge in the fields of information and communication technology.

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was co-signed by the Vice President of the University - Professor Jalal Jomaa, and the CEO of Huawei in Lebanon - Mr. Aidn Lee, in the presence of Assistant Dean of the Faculty of Engineering - Dr. Abbas Fardoun, and Chairman of the Computer Sciences Department - Dr. Imad Moukadem from Al Maaref University, as well as the Public Relations and Governmental Affairs Director - Mr. Mohammad Sharara, and PR Specialist - Ms. Fatima Al Hashash.                                                                   

The attendees expressed their pleasure in this valuable cooperation, which provides an opportunity for the students to be introduced to the company's technologies and participate in its comprehensive training programs.                                                                                                                            

This MoU comes within the framework of strengthening the academic level of the University, expanding the scope of education, and developing the technical skills of students in the field of information and communication technologies.
