Accounting students from the Faculty of Business Administration at Al Maaref University participated in a specialized lively workshop entitled ‘Standards of Internal Auditing’, on Thursday and Friday, December 2 and 3, 2021, organized by Al-Bayan and Al-Diwan Accounting Offices, and held at Al-Bayan Co. headquarters in Beirut.

The workshop was presented by the expert trainer Sami Mikati and attended by students and those interested in this field.

The workshop aimed to introduce a disciplined approach to participants on the concepts and standards of internal auditing, the clinical evaluation of internal control systems, and the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing – IPPF, with a holistic overview of the knowledge and the capacities that an internal auditor has to possess executing the relevant tasks which helps improve a risk-based internal audit plan. 

The workshop touched on developing a corporate governance environment process, determining the Environment Control at the level of organizational units, body functions, responsibilities, and procedures.

As part of the workshop, attendees received Certificates of Participation from the organizers.
