Role:
Instructors are required to teach Undergraduate (UG) Level Engineering Courses and provide students with real-life application cases to boost their problem-solving, critical thinking and ethical judgment skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, supervise and support undergraduate students in conducting electrical and electronics labs.
- Communicate with students through e-learning platforms.
- Contribute to the wider students’ experience through personal tutoring, lab experiment support and provide support in and outside the lab.
- Participate in interactive Online Teaching assignments once needed and undertake the necessary training offered by the Faculty.
- Participate actively in the Faculty meetings and academic and social activities/events to enhance engagement and make valuable contributions.
Qualifications:
- A Master's Degree or equivalent qualifications/experience within your specialist discipline.
- An established teaching experience record at the Higher Education Level.
- An attitude and ability to motivate students and deal with different learning and practical challenges.
- An active approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary teaching.
- Excellent English communication skills
- Enthusiasm and openness for self-development and embracement of new teaching methods.
- Flexibility in undertaking additional duties when required by the faculty.
Skills Required:
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of laboratory equipment, tools, and techniques relevant to the specific engineering field (e.g., computer engineering and electrical engineering)
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Aptitude for troubleshooting equipment issues, identifying root causes of problems, and implementing effective solutions to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in conducting experiments, recording data accurately, and following experimental protocols to maintain integrity and reliability of results.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills to effectively convey experimental procedures, results, and insights to students
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Capacity to work collaboratively with other lab engineers, faculty members, and students to accomplish shared objectives and foster a supportive laboratory environment.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety in the laboratory, and ensuring the well-being of oneself and others during experiments.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to evolving laboratory procedures, technologies, and research objectives, while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload effectively, and maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the laboratory environment.
- Continuous Learning: Eagerness to stay updated with advances in laboratory techniques, equipment, and industry standards through professional development opportunities and self-directed learning initiatives.
- Excellent English communication skills.
