60% of Participation in "MU Students Clubs" Elections for the Year 2017-2018

The second students’ election took place on Saturday, Nov 21, 2017, at Al Maaref University. The Heads of six student clubs were elected. The election process wrapped up a two-week long campaign in which applications and registration were done, giving a chance to clubs’ presidency candidates to record a short competitive video. The total number of candidates was 38.

In light of Regulation 6 of the Student Clubs Policy, the candidates were elected in a secret ballot (behind a curtain) under the supervision of the Directorate of Student Affairs. The ballots closed at 1:45 pm, as a crowd of enthusiastic and consolidated students, eagerly waited for the results.

The election process was highly earnest and punctual; the percentage of students affiliated to university clubs was 38% in fall semester 2017-28018, whereas the total percentage of voters had reached 60%.

In this regard, Mr. Hussien Nasser, the Director of Student Affairs, wished all students good luck and success in this unique day.
