Accounting Students Participate in CMA Exam Preparation Workshop:

Students of Accounting major at Al Maaref University, who were awarded recently with the Certified Management Accountant's Scholarship (CMA), participated in the workshop organized by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) at Ramada Plaza Hotel, Beirut.

The workshop was a part of a series of meetings organized by the IMA for its members. Students were introduced to the nature of the work and goals of the institution. Afterward, Mr. Gaby Lahoud (IMA-President of Lebanon Chapter) talked about the importance of obtaining the CMA professional certificate. For him, certification is accounted as one of the privileges for its holder in the labor market.

Mr. Lahoud presented in detail the strategies to be acquired by the student to manage to increase the success factors in passing the CMA exam. He explained the range of methods of asking questions in the exam, illustrating the difficulties and the pressures that the student can face during the period of exam preparation.

At the end of the workshop, the FBA students participated with their colleagues of other universities in answering a model CMA exam paper. Such a trial of solving an exam collectively gave the students a closer idea and provided them with more confidence to deal with what to expect in similar formal exams.

At the end of the workshop, Accounting students from the FBA had an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and take photos with the rest of the participants from other universities.
