Prospective students are new applicants willing to enroll in the university. An applicant can access the university academic resources by creating a simple applicant account requiring only a valid email address. The prospective student, using his/her account, can then apply to the different programs of the university by filling an online application form.
1- Application Forms
The online application form, relevant to the different university programs, is completed using the help of an intelligent wizard that guides the applicant through the required information. Mandatory fields, validation checks, if-then instructions, etc... all ensure the integrity and validity of the application form.
After submitting an application form, the applicant receives an automated welcome message as well as instructions on how and when to visit the university to hand in necessary documents and application fees. The procedure can be done by using regular mail if it applies to the business rules of university. The welcome message will instruct the applicant on the necessary documents needed based on the submitted information in the application form.
2- Online Entrance Exams Reservation
Once documents and application fees are received by the university, an operator will set the status of the documents and fees as received and then another automated email will be sent to the applicant informing him/her about the status of his/her documents. The applicant is now able to choose an entrance exam date as preset earlier by an operator. Based on the type of the exam and availability, the applicant will choose a date(s). A confirmation email is also sent after performing this procedure to ensure the dates and types of exams. Cancellation or changing dates policy can be set as per the university business rules.
3- Online Results and Application Status
The UMS automatically displays the applicants' results, allowing them to view their results. Based on the results, a rejection, acceptance, or conditional acceptance is granted to students. In all cases, the student will receive a notification by email. In case of acceptance, the applicant will be sent his /her student credentials and instructions which allow him/her to directly register online based on the registration rules preset.
