In commemoration of the birth anniversary of Imam Al Mahdi (AJ), MU clubs at Al Maaref University held on Tuesday, 7 March 2023, a celebration in which they hosted the professor, Mr. Bilal Wehbe, and the vocalist Ismail Abbas, in the presence of the University President, Dr. Ali Alaeddine, and a number of students and professors.

After reciting verses from the Holy Qur’an, a number of students from different countries, including Syria, Lebanon, Pakistan and Palestine, presented a special paragraph entitled “The Savior”, where each of them expressed his relationship with Imam Mahdi (AJ) in his own way.

Later on, a speech by the Administrator of the Student Affairs Department, Mr. Ahmad Abbass, commended the spirituality of the students in teamwork and their vitality in the university’s activities. Mr. Wehbe then discussed the importance of this occasion, its symbolism and the possible means of commemorating, referring to the great role played by the younger generation in this regard, because this generation is "the generation preparing for his emergence, without specifying the time date for that."

At the end of this celebration, songs inspired by the occasion were recited by the vocalist Ismail Abbas, in a joyful and overwhelming atmosphere among the attendance. Then a draw as held to win a "Visit the Holy Shrines". The student Hussein Maydani won a visit to the holy shrines in Iran, and student Farah Hammoud won a visit to the holy shrines in Syria.
