The Faculty of Mass Communication and Fine Arts at Maaref University held a workshop titled “CV Writing and Creating a LinkedIn Profile” on Thursday, July 23, 2020. The workshop was within the framework of a series of summer workshops organized by the faculty for its soon to be graduates.
During the four hour session, Public Speaker and Communications Instructor Razan Badran provided a comprehensive explanation of how to properly write a CV in accordance with professional standards. The workshop aimed to increase students’ ability to market their educational qualifications and skills in a professional, attractive, and effective manner to help widen their job opportunities.
The workshop sought to empower students with the methods of designing a resume according to the job the graduate is seeking and convincing employers of their qualifications and capabilities.
The trainer of the workshop also explained how to create a professional LinkedIn profile and discussed ways to build a strong network of relationships. Students created profiles suitable for their job search that would help give them direct contact with potential employers.
Upon completion of the workshop, students received a certificate of participation, signed by the faculty dean Dr. Ali Takash and trainer Mrs. Razan Badran.
