Three Levels of Progress
The majors are part of a modular degree program that contains a combination of courses leading to gain 99 credits as a pre-condition for obtaining a first degree and a student becomes a graduate.
A student registered for a full-time attendance mode will take typically 33 credits per year. An accredited and validated degree student will complete courses totaling 21 credits for University General Education Requirements at level one, courses totaling 36 credits for core requirements at level 1 and 2 and courses totaling 27 credits for major requirements at level 2 and 3 as well as courses totaling 9 credits for General Education Electives in liberal arts at level 1. To meet your specific interest in the field of study, you are expected to elect a number of courses of a total value of 6 credits at level 3.

It is possible to bring together elective courses from one field with elective courses from another (depending on availability in a semester) to produce a major that has an emphasis on a particular specialism and interest.
It is expected that each student seeking a validated degree to have a cumulative total of 99 credits over a minimum of 3 years of full-time study. The study period for a degree should meet a combination of different types of requirements that carry on different numbers of credits. The requirements are reflective of different levels of achievement objectives and outcomes.
Some of them are common to all faculties in the university, others are common to the faculty regardless of the major, whilst others are more specific to the specialism that a student has undertaken as a major. These include some technical electives as well.
All students are expected to have general Education Electives (also labeled free electives) in the areas of Liberal Arts that contribute in fostering an integrative understanding and practice much needed in a professional environment. These Electives are selected from any of the optional courses offered by the University per semester.
Courses are defined in the Table as follows:
Program Requirements & Credit Allocation
