Radio and Television
The Department of Radio and Television aims at preparing students to cope, understand, and comprehend the theoretical and practical basis necessary to plan, produce, and distribute audio and video programs and messages, and to prepare individuals to function as staff, producers, directors, and managers of radio and television shows and media organizations.
The curriculum includes instruction in media aesthetics; planning, scheduling, and production; writing and editing; performing and directing; personnel and facilities management; marketing and distribution; media regulations, law, and policy; and principles of the broadcast technology.
Graduates of the program comply with the competencies necessary to grow in the profession and acquire the proficiency in Radio and Television.
Graduates of this major shall be ready to pursue further postgraduate education and to serve as active members of the Lebanese Radio and Television Authorities as well as of the International Communication bodies.
Moreover, graduates of the program may work as Broadcast News Analysts, Communications Instructors, Directors- Stage, Motion Pictures, Television, and Radio, Film and Video Editors, Producers, Producers and Directors, Program Directors, Radio and Television Announcers, Talent Directors, and Technical Directors.
