CAD/CAM Training - Level 1
Training Description
In the 1st level of this CAD/CAM training, participants will learn how to build models of parts and assemblies and how to make their drawings using SOLIDWORKS.
The covered topics extend from simple 3D part drawing to relatively complicated assemblies of parts. Design of “gears”, “threads” and “metal sheet parts” are covered. Moreover, a part of the training is devoted to geometric dimensioning and tolerancing where a brief review on the main tolerancing features will be presented. Participants will implement the learned material and expand their knowledge in practical exercises.
Audience
This training is recommended for industrial and mechanical engineers or senior technicians.
After this training, participants will be able to:
- - Create new parts and assembly using SOLIDWORKS.
- - Make a 2D drawing for any 3D SOLIDWORKS part or assembly.
- - Draw parts with high geometrical complexity.
- - Draw particular mechanical parts (gears or threads).
- - Design parts made with metal sheets.
- - Ensure to put all technical specifications on 2D drawings especially geometric dimensioning and tolerance.
